About Us

Dr Shweta Kelkar is a young and upcoming ophthalmologist from Pune. She completed her DNB ophthalmology from Pune and her 2 year long fellowship in Paediatric ophthalmology from the prestigious Aravind Eye care System, Madurai, Tamil Nadu India.

She has also completed her fellowship in Paediatric ophthalmology, Neuro ophthalmology and Visual rehabilitation from Newcastle upon Tyne group of hospitals, United Kingdom.

In this period she developed a special interest in binocular vision, developmental vision related issues and visual problems in Autism spectrum, Mental retardations, Cerebral palsy and other children with special needs. She works with patients who need vision therapy to cope for poor visual skills. She has worked for schools with special children and for children with visual impairments in designing their class rooms and educational approach depending upon their visual needs.
